PHP Web Developer - PHP, MySQL, CSS, AJAX - Glasgow

Web Developer with experience of PHP, mySQL, CSS and AJAX required to join the team of an excellent digital marketing agency in Glasgow, working on large scale consumer and B2B website projects for a range of interesting clients. Some commercial experience of Javascript and Ajax will be required for this particular role.

We need a self-motivated and team-oriented web developer, with good formal software engineering skills, especially OOD, RDBMS, design patterns and software best practises. Knowledge of at least one modelling methodology, such as UML, is expected.

Excellent practical PHP skills are essential; several years experience is expected of PHP and MySQL. Good understanding of modern XHTML and CSS is also essential. Must have some exposure to JavaScript and Ajax; client-side scripting expertise and a working knowledge of the XML DOM is highly desirable. A good working knowledge of another language such as .Net, Java, C++, ActionScript, Python or Ruby would be highly advantageous.
