The Role:

The User Experience Architect leads the user experience design of a project from the Scoping/High-level Design through to delivery of detailed UE design deliverables.

Further responsibilities of the User Experience Architect:
  • Understand the client’s business and business objective, as well as target audience and their needs.
  • Responsibility for identifying if, and at what point, usability testing should take place in order to generate the most valuable customer insight.
  • Continually assess and improve the practices and processes for UE design.
  • Responsible for synthesising multiple inputs into a single, easy-to-understand, customer-facing deliverable.
  • Representing the absent customer and ensuring that any piece of content or functionality developed meets the highest standards of usability.
  • Produce clear, well-articulated outputs that meet the requirements of the delivery teams.
  • Responsible for managing own deliverables within a UE project.
  • Provide general project direction.
  • Delivery of documentation appropriate to the project.
The Person:
  • Solid information architecture experience for blue-chip clients.
  • Ability to quickly understand the client’s business and objectives.
  • Ability to combine these and translate into effective site architecture.
  • Familiarity with standard IA and UCD tools and processes.
  • Understanding of good usability and accessibility practices online.
  • Organised and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
